With such high expectation after watching the first one I like most people was absolutely turned off by this movie.
ok ok the lines about “that country” are AMAZING which means you know it’ll never get a release in The States.
but still even turning it into a political film can’t save this piece of garbage.
The first one was directed by the late great director Kinji Fukasaku
(based off an AMAZING BOOK! Check it out if you can!)
he is credited with this one as well.
BUT then his son took over since he passed away.
Don’t know how much he actually did on this before hand (and/or care) on this piece of junk.
God forbid if you come across the “extended directors cut”
run like hell.
it adds like 20 some more mins
which makes the whole thing drag on even more.
if you can’t help your self and want to watch this sequel (the first one kicked so much ass!)
watch the normal version. It’ll save you much agony by not watching the “extended gouge your eyes out it so boring version”.
oh yea remember Noriko Nakagawa (actress name Aki Maeda) well she does show up in the end but by then you won’t even care.
