I guess the above was a bit of a spoiler. JUST a tad. Forgive me.
BUT you probably should have watched the previous 3 films (we are NOT counting the horrible direct to video animated movie here) before jumping into this one.
Here’s another spoiler!
ARE YOU PREPARED?
The whole clone action is over after the first ten mins of the film. The first ten mins being completely out of place for the rest of the movie. The first ten mins being the part that seemed to have been tweaked extra hard as an afterthought to cash in on the 3D fad.
It’s January 6th at 3:25am and Resident Evil: Afterlife won’t be available to rent from Netflixs till January 25th 2011. That’s some baloney right there!!
I went the old RedBox route (Honestly a bit surprised that they had it. I thought the whole not being available on Netflixs also applied to RedBox as well….) for one dollar and fifty cents for the Blu-ray. Well worth it if you ask me! Hell if I get lazy tomorrow and don’t return it and end up paying an additional one dollar and fifty cents it would still be worth it!
I wonder how many extra rental days at one dollar and fifty cents will I think is a fair price to pay? Day three at one dollar and fifty cents (for Blu-ray) additional seems fair as well. More than fair actually! I like the movie. It was fun.
I sadly didn’t get to see it in the glorious 3D at the theater. Which after watching it seemed not that important anymore. There were a few shots that were a bit gimmicky that probably would have been neat in 3D. BUT not worth the price of a 3D ticket. Which is like hmmmmmm 12 bucks? SO……. I guess I would value the film between 3 days of RedBox (for one dollar and fifty cents a day) to the price of admission for a 3D theater experience. Yea. That sounds about right. Though mainly because it irks me that they are making everything in “3D” now just to cash in. When in reality the movie (though I don’t know about Resident Evil: Afterlife) wasn’t even intended to be in 3D.
