I just realized I’m supposed to see TDKR in 16 hours. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve watched the first two. Time to get cracking. – 2:38am 08-02-2012
I thought about writing a review of the movie before I actually watched it. I had a feeling that anything I could say would be completely accurate.
I went to the only “True IMAX” in my state. Was about a 50 minute drive. It was the same price if not cheaper than AMC’S “LieMax”.
Maybe I did enjoy it more than TDK because I had a perfect seat for TDKR unlike with TDK where I sat in the very first row and missed half the action….
Maybe it’s not as good story wise as TDK. TDK’s Joker was amazing. But I loved TDKR! It was amazing experience watching it in a True IMAX! The time flew by. I was completely engrossed. As soon as it was over I wanted to watch it again. I seriously can NOT recommend tracking down a True IMAX theater and watching it before it’s gone forever! It’s an experience you’ll remember!

Does the movie merit a 5★ ratting? Probably not.
But does “The Dark Knight Rises: The IMAX Experience” deserve a 5★ ratting? Yes. Without a doubt. Sadly you’ll be very hard pressed to find it playing in a True IMAX anymore. Heck it’s probably only playing at dollar theaters now since it’s been out on home video for quite some time now.
